People around the world may feel that the climate has been getting steadily warmer and warmer in recent years. Places which used to be abundant in snowfall have frequently experienced snowfree(無雪的) winters. Drought lasts longer in some dry areas. People find that without air conditioners they could hardly work or fall asleep on hotter summer days.
世界各地的人們可能覺察到了近年來全球氣候已經(jīng)逐漸變暖。有些過去會大量降雪的地方現(xiàn)如今卻頻繁地經(jīng)歷無雪的冬季。一些原本干旱的地區(qū)如今也在遭受更持久的干旱。人們發(fā)現(xiàn),如果沒有空調(diào),他們幾乎無法在炎熱的夏季工作或入睡了。
The side effects of global warming are alarminS. A warmer global climate melts the ice caps, raising sea levels. What is more, it disturbs weather patterns, causing droughts, severe storms, hurricanes (颶風(fēng)). People suffer a lot from disasters relevant to global warming.
全球變暖的副作用是一系列的預(yù)警。全球氣候變暖會致使冰蓋融化、海平面上升。另外,它擾亂了氣候模式,導(dǎo)致干旱、嚴(yán)重的風(fēng)暴甚至颶風(fēng)。人們因全球氣候變暖遭受了很多相關(guān)的自然災(zāi)害。
To stop global warming we should make immediate and continual efforts. We hope the situation will soon change. Global warming catches and holds our concern, for it affects us and will affect our later generations. We cannot wait any longer. Do it. Do it right. Do it right now.
阻止全球變暖是我們應(yīng)該立即采取行動和持續(xù)不斷的努力的事情。我們希望當(dāng)下的境況能夠很快得到改觀。全球氣候變暖引起我們的關(guān)注,因為它給我們的生活帶來了影響,也將會影響到我們的后代。我們不能再坐視不管了。我們應(yīng)該行動起來，采取有效的行動方式，馬上行動起來。
